Make a simple cake a bit more festive with these simple fringed tissue toppers.
Materials
- tissue paper
- scissors
- glue stick
- toothpicks
Directions
- cut tissue in to 3 1/2″ x 8 ” rectangles
- starting on the thin end, fold accordion style about 1/2″ for each fold
- fold in half, see emerald green tissue in photo
- staple fold, see photo
- on the opposite side from the staple make slits into the tissue across the top
- carefully open up tissue into a fan like shape
- spread glue on a toothpick and attach to both tissue ends, hold in place for a moment till it set
