I had a lot of fun making these candy colored star weavings.

Materials

  • cardboard (white if possible)
  • embroidery floss
  • glass
  • ruler
  • scissors
  • pencil

Directions

  1. Trace a circle on the wrong side of the cardboard. The circles here are 4″.
  2. Divide the circle into equal parts  and mark on the cardboard.
  3. Cut the circle out and then clip around the outer edges.
  4. Knot the thread, place the knot in the back of one of the slots and pull thread through.
  5. Now just experiment and play with the patterning.

  1. Salaams,

    Love your work.

Just wondering if there are instructions or a tutorial for this? Went to the original blog, but couldn’t find it. Thanks.

    • Salaam Romana,

I really like that craft too. I’m sorry the directions were not there. I can do it but it may take me a little bit.

      Thanks Romana,

      • Salaam Romana,

I just remade the craft that you asked about earlier and added some simple directions. I hope you like it.
