I inherited my Grandma Honey Bee’s recipes and her Sweet Banana Bread is one of my favorites.
Ingredients
- 1 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 eggs, unbeaten
- 3-4 ripe banana’s (about 1 1/2 cups)
- 1 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1.2 teaspoons salt
- 1 cups nuts (optional)
Directions
- Cream sugar with butter.
- Add eggs, one at a time beating after each addition.
- Stir in bananas and lemon juice.
- Add baking powder and salt.
- Stir in nuts.
- Grease and flour 1 cake pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done. Test for doneness with a tooth pick if it comes out clean then its done.
